"Elated" seemed a proper name for this designer cut, a Berber Agate from Sidi Rahal, Morocco. Sidi Rahal is in the Atlas Mountains, where a very distinctive Orange-Pink-Whilte Agate is found. I bought a few pieces of Berber Agates from a well-known agate collector who presented information at an agate convention. This agate was sliced, and cut into a designer shape. The shape of the cabochon was dictated by the stones' patterns and colorations.
Berber Agates, if good enough, just scream; "WEAR ME"! These agates are very distinctive because of the aforementioned colors, but also because of the yellow Opal, that forms on the rim, around the outside of many Berber Agates. The inside sometimes exhibits spectacular form, banded agate, and Creamy Quartz, and aquatic-like inclusions.
The agate is just the right size; big enough to be noticed, but not too large or too small. The coloration is perfect for wearing dress up, or dress down. The stone is not gaudy, but fancy enough that it will be noticed. This agate will make you feel "Elated" when you wear it.
