If you are looking for something different to wear from the Great Lakes area stones, here is a combination to make your heart trill! These gemstones are both reminders of historic areas. Tiny bits of copper pepper the surface of the blue/green Datolite, a remnant of the famous Centennial Copper Mine in the Calumet area of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. The Thomsonite is from the famous Minnesota Thomsonite area, no longer an active collecting site. The stones are joined together with fine goldfill wires, held securely, but not hidden. A graceful curl at the top echoes the round stones and the round pattern of the Thomsonite.
A unique pendant with hard-to-find gems will make a great addition to your Great Lakes stone jewelry collection. You will turn to it again and again as a signature piece. Buy now!
