Have you ever seen a pattern in nature that just isn't where it should be? If you love gem Dinosaur Bone you know that it is usually tiny agates that filled the bone in repeating cellular structure. In this amazing piece, apparently a hole was present in the bone and bright dark red agate and near-clear quartz filled in the space, making a banded agate in the middle of the small cells of gemmy, shiny dinosaur bone. We've seen lots of Dinosaur Bone in Quartzsite and Tucson, but no other pieces like this.
Red bone is always highly valued. Tiffany used it in his creations. This is a fossil above-and-beyond what you normally find.
