Smelters in the Copper District of the Keweenaw Peninsula were made of brick back in the days of active mining. Over a period of time the brick was permiated with Copper Vapors and Molten Copper. The copper replaced all the material in the bricks except the Silica. The results is copper with little spots of white Quartz within.
Everthing about this Firebrick Pendant is wonderful. I cut a very fine teardrop shaped Firebrick, coated it with tarnish-preventing Industrial epoxy, and wrapped it in Argentium Sterling and Pink Gold. Pink Gold looks similar to Copper, but the advantage of Gold is it will not tarnish. You will enjoy this special, historic pendant. Order today!
