The Century Boat Company in Manistee, Michigan painted their high-end boats primarily in metallics or pearl-dust enhanced enamels. I was fortunate to acquire this Century Boat paint of the 1970's from a retired employee of the Century Boat plant. A variation of car paint, or "fordite", the glamour of this antique metallic boat paint was enhanced by my unusual cutting, leaving a large eye-popping metallic red center surrounded by fine paint lines. Reminiscent of a Wild Boat Ride, you'll enjoy the creative cabochon and telling the interesting story behind it. It is a striking piece of history that people will notice across a room! Wire wrapping is in 14/20 gold fill and Argentium wires, some twisted.
