This ammonite appears to be a perfect specimen. The calibrated chambered spiral growssmaller and smaller as it nears tiny center. Spirals of revered for their representations of eternity or spiritual growth. The back side is left as found. It shows multi colored iridecence. This is a procedure commonly used to best show the beautiful crystal structure inside the ammonite.
Ammonites are extinct along with the dinosaurs. Ammonite relatives today include squids and cuttlefish.
The unusual shape requires special wire-wrapping techniques. This one is wrapped in a multi wire stack of 22-gauge argentium silver wires.
