This greenstone has a very small snakeskin pattern which covers almost the entire surface. The pattern is quite interesting and quite different from most greenstones. It has a nice shine and the oval shape is unusually symmetrical for greenstones. The greenstone, also known as chlorastrolite, is the state gem of Michigan and is found only is small select areas of the Keweenaw Peninsula or on Isle Royale National Park. 1.1 grams
