One year Don brought home from Quartzsite a multi-pound stone of Mookaite. As he cuts off a slice you might get just maroon, or just yellow. Sometimes you get a gem like this.
Gorgeous classic Mookaite maroons and tans enhance this Australian jasper. The colors of mooka vary widely, this is an especially beautiful cabochon, looking like a contemporary painting, blending the most delicate mooka colors, even a bit of peach, very unusual. The wire wrapping is an elegant of twisted and straight wires, using both gold fill and argentium.
