The Mohawkite mineral comes from a couple mines in Keweenaw Peninsula, including the privately owned Mohawk location. It takes digging and luck to find Mohawkite of this quality any more. This is a more modest size than some others wrapped in gold fill. Pleasing size, tidy wire work, good patterns make this stand out.
This jewelry represents a Keweenaw Peninsula mining era long gone, but you will find it shiny, eye-catching, and fun to wear.
