This beautiful Ruby in Zoisite was mined in south-central India. This area is known for some of the finest quality Ruby-Fuchsite in the world. Fuchsite is a Mucovite, Chromium rich gemstone from various areas of the world. Sometimes Rubies will inhabit Fuchsite as they do Zoisite. A real surprise is that all Rubies are Florescent in nature, and the rubies in this stone glow a bright red-green when exposed to a UV light.
You do not need a UV light to enjoy the gorgeous pastel green of the Fuchsite and the red Ruby crystals in this gemstone. The Ruby crystals are outlined with white Fuchsite. Ruby is the birthstone of the month of July.
A heart shape seemed fitting for this pendant. It is simply wrapped in Argentium sterling so as not to distract from the natural beauty of this stone. Although a mirror finish is generally not possible with either Ruby or Fuchsite, a nice matte finish is pleasing, tne the contrast of colors is vivid. Give to someone you love now!
