Rich brown tones band across this peanut wood pendant with bits of white. Gold-filled and argentium wires form the beautiful frame.
Peanut wood is toredo-bored petrified wood. This ancient waterlogged wood sank and was invaded by mollusk larvae prior to being filled with diatomaceous earth and then petrified. The wood is found in northwest Australia near Carnavon. It is called peanut wood due to it's resemblance to peanut brittle.
