Prehnite is a Copper-associated mineral, and is sometimes found in the waste piles of the old copper mines in the Keweenaw. The difficulty is locating gem grade Prehnite. This pendant is a prime example of heavily copper-included Prehnite from the historic Cliff Mine of Michigan's Copper Country. A diamond shaped Prehnite contains many flecks of copper.
The wire setting is square gold fill wires wrapped in pink gold that reflects the copper in the stone. Small loops of gold at the top soften the long stone in a lovely way.
