Large, lovely, and chock full of interesting inclusions! The orientation of rutile in this clear quartz is horizontal, creating a distinctive catseye flash across the face when moved back and forth. It is wire wrapped in 14/20 gold fill. The face is smoothly curved and the back is flat, with rutile spread thickly throughout the stone. It is hard to find and buy any Rutilated Quartz as nice as this even in Tucson where they might expect you to buy a 10 gallon bucket of it, with no sorting.

This bold quartz stone is unusually heavy with golden Rutile, evenly distributed, a valuable stone--you will not find another of these beauties!
